21 Day Fix Extreme Starts March 2nd- Are YOU Ready?

My First 21 Day Fix Extreme Meal Plan

 
I am BUSY, BUSY, BUSY planning our 21 Day Fix Workout Accountability Group!!  As of today, February 26th, we have 22 women who are READY to start Monday, March 2nd.  We have been working together this week on learning the in's and outs of the 21 Day Fix Extreme Meal Plan.  It really is VERY simple, once you take a few minutes to read the Meal Plan book that comes with the workout.  It lays it all out for you as to exactly how much you can eat a day.  It breaks it into fruits, veggies, carbs, proteins, good fats.  The meal plan has GREAT recipes in it as well as wonderful suggestions.  I am looking forward to sharing my weekly meal plans and my 21 Day Fix Extreme journey with you!!!

Lemon Pepper Salmon

Healthy eating isn't as expensive as you might think.  Tonight we are having Lemon Pepper Salmon, bake potato, and salad.  The total cost for each person is around $7.00!!  YOU CAN'T EAT FAST FOOD FOR $7.00!!

Here is the recipe for the Lemon Pepper Salmon:    For the marinade - 1/3 c low sodium soy sauce, 1/3 c water, 1/3c brown sugar, 1/4c vegetable oil lemon pepper and garlic powder to taste.  Marinate your salmon steaks or fillets for 2+ hours.  Broil Salmon for approx. 10 minutes.  (this marinade is good for tilapia too)

*** TIP  don't fatten up your salad with mayonnaise based salad dressings.  Try a little olive oil and vinegar or lite Italian dressings.  If you must have the Ranch or Blue Cheese dressings try this tip : put your dressing into a small bowl, dip your fork into the dressing and then get your salad.  This will save you  A LOT OF CALORIES!!!  Instead of sour cream for your baked potato, try Greek yogurt.

We are so excited for our next Workout Challenge Group to begin!!!  Everyone in the group will be using either the original 21 Day Fix workout OR the NEW 21 Day Fix EXTREME.

I just heard on the news that the average American will consume over 2400 calories DURING THE SUPER BOWL TONIGHT!!!!   WOWZA!!!!!

Here's how much Americans are consuming this Super Bowl Sunday:
1.25 billion: chicken wings
100 million: Pounds of avocados
11.2 million: pounds of potato chips
8.2 million: Pounds of tortilla chips that will be consumed.
48 million:   that will order take-out
11 million: Slices of pizza Domino's will deliver
 
I don't know about you, but I think I will do my best to keep it down to just a few hundred.  I do not want to have to workout for the NEXT MONTH to try to negate eating for one night!!!!
 
 
here are a few recommendations to help you NOT consume 2400 calories:
1) skip the cheese laden dips, instead choose the hummus or guacamole
2) go for the veggies (skip the ranch dressing)
3) drink water with a little lemon or lime added to it instead of alcohol beverages
4)eat some healthy foods BEFORE you go to the party so you will be less likely to eat as much
5) instead of hanging out at the food table or in the kitchen, go watch the game :)
